Jean Gorin

Jean Gorin (1899 - 1981)

Albert Jean Gorin was born in Saint-Emilien-Blain (France) in 1899. Gorin attended the art academies in Paris and Nantes.

 

Influenced by Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse and Albert Gleizes. In 1927 first contact with Piet Mondriaan.

 

Gorin always produced geometric-abstract paintings and reliefs. He was a friend of Joost Baljeu. Albert Jean Gorin died in Niort (France) in 1981.

 

Albert Jean Gorin's work is displayed in major museum's e.g. Centre G. Pompidou (Paris), the Musée dArt Moderne de la ville de Paris and  the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nantes.Vynil paint on wood
